Workplace Skills

In this unit, we looked at some key skills for the workplace covering three main areas:

- communication
- working with others
- self-management.

If you have been working for some time already, either in education or another sector, this unit was a useful refresher. If you joined the workforce more recently, this unit helped you develop skills you will need throughout your career.

The skills we outlined are generally useful in any workplace. During your degree course you'll be guided to carry out workplace observations and activities that will develop your learning and skills in primary education more specifically.
