Primary Computing

Aimed at non-specialist teachers, this short course explains the benefits of teaching computing and coding to KS1 and KS2 pupils. It starts by outlining what computational thinking is before discussing how teachers can engage pupils with basic computing concepts such as input/output and algorithms by using real-life examples, modelling, group work and online resources. This course ends by exploring how computing skills, such as problem solving and critical thinking, benefit and link in with almost all the other subjects in the curriculum.
