Earners have shown they can explain how digital badges and verifiable credentials work, design a badge with clear criteria and governance, and plan how to launch, measure and protect a badge programme. To complete the pathway, each earner produced a full badge programme proposal for their own organisation.

Earning Criteria

To earn this certificate, participants:

Earned all three pathway badges: Digital Badge Foundations, Badge Programme Designer and Badge Programme Lead
Completed a practical exercise in each module: verifying a live badge, designing a badge for their organisation and writing a launch plan
Submitted a capstone badge programme proposal covering the problem and goal, the badge design, how the programme grows, how it launches, how success is measured, and the risks and safeguards
