Gender Equal Classroom

This course helps teachers think more critically about how gender can influence young people's experiences of education, their attainment, confidence levels, subject choices and career options. The course starts by outlining different ways of thinking about gender, such as biological differences and social constructs, before exploring topics such as maths education and the question of boys' underachievement in more depth. Gender Equal Classroom invites teachers to reflect on their own gender practices and consider ways to create a more inclusive classroom.
