The Teacher's Standards state that teachers are expected to uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, a statement which is inclusive of not undermining fundamental British values. This module reflected on how mentors can support their mentees in ensuring these issues are valued within their practice or curriculum area.
Earning Criteria
The aims of this module were:
- To understand the expectations set out by the DfE regarding 'fundamental British values'
- To reflect on where these values present challenges and opportunities within the curriculum
- To consider how best to support mentees in embracing these values in their practice.
