Socially Inclusive Classroom

This course aims to extend school staff's awareness of social class and inclusive teaching. It invites teachers to reflect on their own social class background and biases in order to understand what they can do to create a more socially inclusive environment for all children. There is also information on the evolution of education, from the 1944 Education Act to education today; the impact of policies and persisting inequalities; the role of the educator in instigating change; and how to provide a balanced curriculum.
