Level 3 Award in Understanding The Principles and Practices of Assessment
- 1 Download the badge image (see below)
- 2 Now copy the badge link to make sure it links to your badge

- 4 Open Gmail and click on Settings -> See all settings
- 5 Scroll down to the Signature section
- 6 Click Insert Image > Upload image
- 7 Click on the badge image and resize it
- 8 Select the image and click on the link icon
- 9 Past the badge URL link in the Web address box
- 10 Click save to finish

- 4 Open Outlook and click on Home Tab -> New Email -> Signatures
- 5 Add a New Signature or edit an existing one
- 6 Select the Image icon in the toolbar
- 7 Insert the image downloaded into your signature
- 8 Select the image and click on the link icon
- 9 Past the badge URL link in the Web address box
- 10 Click save to finish

Delivered by Centra Training, this programme equips learners with the essential knowledge and professional understanding required to recognise how fair, valid, reliable, and inclusive assessment should be planned and carried out. The qualification focuses on the principles that underpin effective assessment, supporting learners to understand assessment methods, quality assurance, feedback, standardisation, and the responsibilities of assessors.
Learners develop a clear understanding of the assessment cycle and the professional standards expected in assessment practice, helping them support high-quality learning and assessment processes across a range of vocational and training settings.
To earn this badge, learners must successfully complete the Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment with Centra Training and demonstrate that they can:
- Understand the key principles and purpose of assessment
- Recognise the role and responsibilities of an assessor
- Understand different assessment methods and when they are appropriate
- Explain how to plan fair, valid, reliable, and inclusive assessment
- Understand how to provide constructive feedback to learners
- Recognise the importance of record keeping, quality assurance, and standardisation
- Understand how assessment practice supports learner progress and achievement
